Recreation Center

Located in the heart of Oakland, California at the intersection of Grand and Broadway, and 23rd and Webster, the site will serve as the future epicenter of a newly formed recreational incubator and social condenser.

The project proposes a 4-story building that includes an Olympic-sized pool, an outdoor skate bowl, an indoor skating rink, a yoga studio, and a café.

The building is characterized by its relationship between public and private spaces, as well as the connection between indoor and open-air space. The project aims to provide a fluid sense of movement, both vertically and horizontally- through organic forms and terraced spaces.
